19 March 2020 – revised eligibility date for furlough scheme

The fourth update to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme has changed the date by which any eligible employee has to be on the PAYE payroll.  It was 28 February 2020.  It is now moved to 19 March 2020, thereby bringing in a significant number of new starters who had fallen through the cracks.
