The Equality Act 2010 in force on 01 October.

Apart from partially prohibiting pre-employment health questionnaires, this new act doesn’t change much for employers.  It attempst to bring the various strands of discrimination law (sex, race etc) under one umbrella and in doing so lawyers will no doubt debate endlessly about the effect of some minor changes to language used.  Overall, however, not much to worry about.
